Home Care Assistance Joins Wish of a Lifetime’s #CupidCrew Movement, Will Deliver Roses to Dayton Elders on Valentine’s Day

Did you know that nearly 16 million seniors in the United States are isolated, living alone? For many of our elderly, whose spouses have passed away and whose social circles have grown smaller, Valentine’s Day can be a particularly difficult and lonely time. Through the #CupidCrew movement, we’re changing that by sharing a rose and a conversation with elders in our communities. Wish of a Lifetime created #CupidCrew, a nationwide volunteer movement that delivers roses to older adults on Valentine’s Day.

Thanks to the generosity of our 2020 partner, Home Care Assistance of Dayton, their #CupidCrew will deliver over 300 roses to this often forgotten population within the Dayton community on Valentine’s Day. The senior living communities of 10 Wilmington Place and St. Leonard will see a special delivery from the #CupidCrew through their enriched living partnerships with Home Care Assistance. Bethany Village and Sycamore Glen Retirement Community will also receive a visit by the #CupidCrew. Visitors to the Home Care Assistance office by Dorothy Lane Market will also receive a special rose.

Anyone who cannot make it to the event can donate $1 to the movement through Wish of a Lifetime’s website or Facebook fundraiser on or before February 14, 2020. 100% of your donation contributes to the fight against senior isolation. Volunteers can go to the “Wish of a Lifetime’s #CupidCrew” Facebook page, e-mail the #CupidCrew team at [email protected] or call (303) 954 9144 ext. 210 for more information.

Please join Home Care Assistance and Wish of a Lifetime as they partner together in the fight against senior isolation! Home Care Assistance is located at 6109 Far Hills Avenue, Dayton, OH 45459, right next door to Dorothy Lane Market in Washington Township.
